A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. Review the provider’s policy before submitting a query.
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the details needed to read and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Links may lead to the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Correctional Facility, Michigan courts, MDOC, federal or ICE locators, and outside search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy terms govern. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 through 15.243, controls requests to Michigan public bodies; it does not govern an outside publisher’s data practices.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to measure activity across sites and select ads. That processing occurs on their systems, not this site’s records system.

A request does not control records held by Chippewa County, the Sheriff, courts, MDOC, or another linked source. Contact that custodian for its records.

This privacy notice may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A new version takes effect when posted here with its updated effective date.
